Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Kerbium, a Delaware company (“Kerbium,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), handles information collected through kerbium.co.uk, our UK early access list and our founding reservation programme.

Information we collect

When you join the early access list, we collect your email address, your separate marketing-email choice, and any questionnaire answers you submit. If you make an optional reservation, Stripe collects and processes your payment details. We receive limited transaction information such as your email address, payment status, amount, and Stripe checkout identifier. We may also collect basic server-side website events, referral source, and campaign parameters to understand interest in Kerbium. The current site does not use Google Analytics, advertising pixels or non-essential tracking cookies.

How we use information

• To manage the early access list and process, confirm, support, and refund reservations.
• To communicate meaningful development and availability updates.
• To understand which product features matter to prospective users, carers and families.
• To protect the website, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.

Lawful bases and marketing choice

We use your email to manage your early access entry and any reservation-related communications. We send product development, availability and reservation marketing emails only where you have actively opted in. This choice is separate from this policy, is recorded with its date and wording version, and can be withdrawn at any time using the unsubscribe link in an email or by contacting us. Withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out lawfully or essential service and transaction messages.

Cookies and similar technologies

The current Kerbium website does not use non-essential cookies, advertising pixels or Google Analytics. Our first-party interest measurement is sent server-side and is described above. Strictly necessary technologies may be used by the hosting platform to deliver and secure the site. When you choose to make a reservation, Stripe may use its own technologies on Stripe Checkout; Stripe’s privacy information applies to that processing.

Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. Kerbium does not store complete card numbers. Stripe’s processing is governed by its own privacy terms.

Product images and health information

The Kerbium product and app are still in development. This website does not yet collect pill-compartment photographs or medication schedules. Before those features become available, we will provide updated product privacy information explaining storage, access controls, retention and user choices.

Sharing and retention

We do not sell personal information. We may share information with service providers that help us operate the website, process payments, store data, and send product communications, or when legally required. Some service providers may process information outside the UK; where UK GDPR transfer rules apply, we use an applicable transfer mechanism and appropriate safeguards. We retain early access and reservation records for as long as reasonably necessary to provide updates, administer reservations, and satisfy legal, accounting, and security obligations. We retain a record of withdrawn marketing preferences so we do not contact people who have opted out.

Your choices

You may unsubscribe from product emails at any time and ask to access, correct, delete or restrict use of information associated with your early access entry or reservation, or object to direct marketing. You may also request a refund under our Refund Policy. You can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office if you believe your information has been handled unlawfully.
